Dr. Sarah Dougherty has been practicing in the Portland area since 2007. Upon her graduation from Kansas State University, she returned to her home state of Oregon where she worked in equine surgery before beginning a small animal general practice. She is passionate about health and wellness in all species.

We all know that preventive care is the key to lasting health, but Dr. Dougherty’s focus on healthy lifestyle choices, solid nutrition, and preventing and managing arthritis, she offers a more comprehensive wellness approach. She strives to keep pets vibrant and strong so families can enjoy life together.

Dr. Dougherty and her husband have three Labs (Axe, Colby, & Maizy) and a spicy calico cat named Cascadia. In her spare time she plays soccer, competing in international tournaments with her women’s team. She also spends time running and hiking with Axe. If the Timbers or Thorns are in town, you’ll find her cheering for the home team.
