Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Southern California, Spencer moved to Portland in 2021 with her wife and three
beloved "fur babies": Wyatt (in photo), Chai, and Titan.
With a degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management, Spencer began her career as a
Zookeeper, caring for a wide array of animals including gorillas, orangutans, primates, and sea
lions. After several years, she transitioned into veterinary medicine six years ago, working with
dogs, cats, and exotics. Spencer especially values building relationships with patients and
clients. She's also a skilled phlebotomist, even certified for humans!
In her free time, Spencer enjoys true crime books, Harry Potter, and family time. She aims to
further her vet med education, hoping to one day become a certified veterinary technician and
return to the zoo world.
