Certified Veterinary Technician
Erika was originally born in Washington state, but moved to Arizona state when she was very young. She grew up on a small farm and developed her love of animals at a young age, growing up with horses, goats, dogs, cats, and pet rats. In 2014, she began volunteering at her local veterinary hospital and gaining crucial veterinary medical experience over the years. There, she developed a stronger passion for caring for animals and connecting with their owners.
Erika attended Pima Medical Institute in Arizona and obtained her CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) license in 2020. She then began working at a hospital in northern Arizona for the next four years, which allowed her to further develop her special interests that includes dentistry, exotic animal care, and emergency medicine. Erika moved to Oregon in 2024, hoping to one day pursue a career in marine biology, or zoological medicine.
Outside the veterinary field, Erika enjoys hiking, painting, singing, playing video games, and spending time at home with her kitty, Pochita Cheese (pictured). She looks forward to meeting all the friendly and furry faces that walk through the hospital’s doors each and every day!
